What is being calculated?

Volume per package (m³) = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 1,000,000
Dimensional mass (kg) = L × W × H (cm) ÷ divisor (cm³/kg)
Comparison mass = max(gross, dimensional) per package × count

Example: 60 × 40 × 30 cm = 0.072 m³. At a divisor of 5,000, dimensional mass is 14.4 kg per package. Three identical 10 kg packages give 0.216 m³ and an unrounded comparison mass of 43.2 kg.

Service rules differ: DHL Express guidance uses 5,000; DHL eCommerce US guidance uses 6,000. Confirm your own service’s current rule.

A roll is not a rectangular carton

Enter the package’s outer bounding dimensions, including protection and protrusions. For a cylindrical roll, measure the longest outside length and both maximum outside diameters. Do not replace the bounding-box volume with πr²L.

Confirm carrier rules for non-rectangular packages. Dimension rounding, weight rounding, minimum charges, service limits and surcharges are not included. Calculate mixed package sizes separately; this is not a container loading plan or a freight price calculator.
