About this family
Metallised film laminated to a woven polyester or polyethylene scrim, with diamond, grid or satin emboss on the reflective face and a black or light second face. High tear strength for products that are folded, tensioned or zipped. Supplied in rolls to horticultural, packaging and equipment manufacturers.

What it is
A reflective woven laminate is metallised film bonded to a woven scrim, with the reflective face embossed in a diamond, grid or satin pattern and a second face that is usually black, white or plain silver. The scrim is what makes it tough: it can be folded, tensioned over frames, zipped and washed without tearing, which is why it is the standard material for grow tents, room liners and fabric enclosures.
Patterns and faces
Diamond emboss scatters light most evenly and is the industry default for horticulture. Grid gives a flatter, more technical look. Satin is smoother and reads as a mirror. The second face is chosen for the job: black for light-proofing, white for a bright room-side, silver where both sides must reflect.
How to specify
Pattern, colour of each face, scrim density (light for foldable products, heavy for large tensioned panels), fire rating if required, roll width and length. Send a swatch of what you use today and we will match or improve it.
Frequently asked
Is it the same as 600D mylar fabric?
Names vary by market; what buyers call 600D or 210D mylar fabric is a reflective film laminated to a woven scrim of that weight class. Tell us the weight you expect and we will confirm the equivalent construction.
Is it washable?
The laminate can be wiped and hosed down; avoid abrasive cleaners on the metallised face.
